Looking back at 2024
The launch of Lem Fine Jewelry was a long time coming. It took many years for me to work up the courage to finally put my own jewelry line out into the world.
As a writer, I was familiar with the queasy feeling of moving a piece of work that I had poured myself from the privacy of my mind and computer into the hands of readers. A piece of writing can feel like an extensive of yourself, and so letting others see it can tap into a whole library worth of insecurities. Still, I had learned to set those feelings aside, because I wanted to be a working writer, which meant I had to let readers see and react to my work however they did.
I had no idea that making pieces of jewelry could feel the same way. Those years of learning and making and not launching my own line taught me that, in fact, it can feel exactly the same, because every piece I make is an expression of my imagination made real and then handed over to others to value. So in 2024, I took a deep breath and finally committed to doing it.
I’m glad I did. The world needs more beauty, more personal touches, however we can find it. Lem Fine Jewelry is my imagination made real. I hope it speaks to yours.

After many years of making and planning, I finally held a wonderful trunk show to launch Lem Fine Jewelry! It was a magical afternoon, not least because I was finally able to see something I had worked toward for so long come to fruition.
